Children's Ministry
In total reliance upon God’s transforming grace, the purpose of First Presbyterian Church’s Children’s Ministry is to effectively prepare children for a life of adoration and devotion to the one Triune God.
Children are a vital part of the covenant community here at First Presbyterian Church! As we love children in Christ's name and invest ourselves in their lives, we are contributing to the growth of the church and the advancement of God's kingdom.
We seek to minister in these ways:
Providing care of infants and children by loving staff and ministry volunteers.
Instructing children ages 2-6th grade in God's Word, teaching them the Bible as the true revelation of God's plan of redemption.
Encouraging children to see their need of a Savior by faith alone in Christ alone to the glory of God alone.
Supporting and encouraging children, parents, and teachers through prayer and instruction with God-centered materials.
The 4 Corners Café on Sunday evenings in fall and spring takes children to places throughout the world where the gospel is shared!
A complimentary copy of Robbie Castleman's book, Parenting in the Pew, is available upon request from the Children's Ministry office.
Children of all ages are invited to Wonder Nights on Wednesdays during the fall and spring at 6:15 p.m. in Currie Hall after family night supper.
