Children's Ministry
In total reliance upon God’s transforming grace, the purpose of First Presbyterian Church’s Children’s Ministry is to effectively prepare children for a life of adoration and devotion to the one Triune God.
Children are a vital part of the covenant community here at First Presbyterian Church! As we love children in Christ's name and invest ourselves in their lives, we are contributing to the growth of the church and the advancement of God's kingdom.
We seek to minister in these ways:
Providing care of infants and children by loving staff and ministry volunteers.
Instructing children ages 2-6th grade in God's Word, teaching them the Bible as the true revelation of God's plan of redemption.
Encouraging children to see their need of a Savior by faith alone in Christ alone to the glory of God alone.
Supporting and encouraging children, parents, and teachers through prayer and instruction with God-centered materials.
I am trying something new. Since we can’t always get together for conversations about the development of our kiddos, I will be periodically recording my thoughts on topics that you may be dealing with. Please email me know if there is anything you’d like for us to talk about. Click link for more information about this project.
IntroductionAs we begin to worship in McIntosh Hall during the renovations to the sanctuary, it is important to think about pointing our children to the importance of worship, wherever that occurs. Click link for some ideas to help prepare our hearts, and the hearts of our children.
