New Sermon Series on Ephesians: “Christ’s Church on Earth”

Outside the South you get “you guys” or the like, but there’s nothing like, “We love y’all” or “Y’all be careful driving home.” “Y’all” would be so helpful in the English translation of the Bible for the plural. Take Philippians 2:13, “God is at work in you y’all to will and to do for his good pleasure.” You may be like me. For so long I read, “God is at work in me” not “God is at work in all of us together as his church.” It’s a completely different take.

Which brings us to our new series. Ephesians especially centers on how Christ’s church came to be and what Christ’s church is to be on earth. It’s a great letter for recalibration as a church. And hey, we could put it this way: it’s all about what God has done, is doing and will do for “y’all”!
