Meet the Pastor Search Committee Members
Mary Abraham
Mary and her husband, Ralph, are long-time members of our church. They have two children, three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Mary is a retired nurse and taught Sunday school for many years. She continues to be active in our church’s Women’s Ministry.
Bobby Blass
Bobby and his wife, Molly, have been members of FPC for 12 years. They have three children and three grandchildren. Bobby is an IT specialist who serves our church as a Ruling Elder and children’s Sunday school teacher.
Matthew Boyd
Matthew and his wife, Bonny, have been members of our church since 2001. Their children, Lily (22), Jack (20), and Cal (17) grew up at FPC. Matthew leads a medical supply company and serves FPC as a Ruling Elder and children’s Sunday school teacher.
Julie Durfield
Julie and her husband, Paul, have been members of FPC for seven years. They have three sons in the U.S. Army and a younger son, Jeremiah (15). Julie is an adult Sunday school teacher and serves in the church’s welcoming ministry.
Charlie Greer
Charlie and his wife, Barbara, have been members of our church since 1991. They have two children, three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Charlie is a Gideon and has practiced dentistry in Hattiesburg for more than five decades. He has served FPC as a Deacon and Ruling Elder and has taught the Adult Bible Fellowship class for over 30 years.
John R. Jackson
John R. is a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church and an emeritus Ruling Elder. He is a retired pediatrician and has been married to Rose for six years. Together they have seven children, 21 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
John Kosko
John and his wife, Kendy, have been members of FPC for 14 years. Their children, Eliza Kate (20), Caroline (17), and Louis (13) have grown up at our church. John is a Ruling Elder and has served as an adult Sunday school teacher. He is a foot and ankle orthopedic surgeon.
Kelly McMullan
Kelly and his wife, Lindsey, have been members of FPC for seven years. They have three sons: Nathan (12) and twins, John and Tim (9). Kelly is an attorney who serves as a Deacon and is church treasurer.
Mallory Norman
Mallory and her husband, Lee, have been members of FPC for three years. They have three children: Benjamin (9), Ann Chancellor (7), and Maggie (5). Mallory is a Wednesday night children’s teacher and serves as a director of Vacation Bible School.
Kim Smith
Kim has been a member of our church for 30 years. She and her late husband, Glenn, have five children and four grandchildren. Kim is a children’s Sunday school and Vacation Bible School teacher.
Joseph Tullos
Joseph and his wife, Elizabeth, have been members of FPC since 2011. They have three sons: Jones (11), George (9), and Cyrus (6). Joseph is an attorney who serves as a Deacon in our church.
